The Innstadt brewery

The Innstadt brewery was a brewery in the Lower Bavarian city ​​of Passau , district of Innstadt . It was taken over by the Hacklberg brewery (also in Passau) in 2012 and only continues to exist as a brand.

history

In 1318 the brewery was first listed in the books of the St. Johannes Hospital in Passau under the entry "Bräuhauses am Graben enthalb der Innpruck". In 1809 the old "Preyhaus" was destroyed in war riots, mainly due to fire. In the years 1812 and following a new brewery was built there. In 1874 it was converted into a stock corporation, the beer output was around 10,000 hl. In 1914 the production of lemonades began and 67,000 hl of beer were produced. The Ottakringer brewery took over the majority stake in the brewery in 2000, and in 2012 it went to the Hacklberg brewery .

In the meantime, the brewery buildings have been torn down (except for the listed parts) and replaced by a new residential area.

In 2019, the following beverages will be sold under the name Instadt beer specialties under the old logo:

  • Helles Premium , Passauer Edelsud , Chabeso Radler , Chabeso Russ , Stadl Bier , d'Inn'Staade (each filled in swing-top bottles);
  • Original Hell , Leicht & Hell , Passauer Weisse , Passauer Weisse - dark , Passauer Weisse - light , Passauer Weisse - alcohol-free , Black extra , Pilsener , Doppelbock (each filled in crown cork bottles );
  • Orange lemonade , table water , chabeso , soda , cola mix (also filled in crown cork bottles).
