Inselstrasse 13

The building, Inselstraße 13 , in the Langerfeld-Mitte residential area in Wuppertal, is a listed residential building in a Bergisch style .

The house was built at the beginning of the 19th century and is part of the historic town center of the former rural community of Langerfeld . It is a two-storey half - timbered house with a gable roof , the facade of which was partially covered with slate .

As a characteristic example of petty bourgeois architecture in the Bergisches Land and as an important part of the historical building fabric that has been preserved, the building was placed under protection on September 8, 1986.

On the evening of November 8, 2013, there was a serious roof fire on the building. Despite the high damage caused by extinguishing water, the house will be renovated by the owner by April 2014 and a new roof structure will be built. The cause of the fire could not be precisely determined.
