The Instituto Ayrton Senna is a philanthropic organization that supports poor and needy children in Brazil. The company is based in São Paulos ( Brazil ) in the northern district of Santana . It is the only private institution recognized by UNESCO .

Work on this project began during Ayrton Senna's lifetime. In 1994, together with his older sister Viviane Senna da Silva Lalli , he developed a concept of how needy children in Brazil could be helped. The aim was to set up a non-profit organization that tackles the problem of street children in Brazil at the root. The Instituto was founded by Senna's family in the same year after Senna's death.

The focus now is on expanding the concept of high quality school education in Brazil. Four states have currently implemented the concept. According to Viviane Senna da Silva Lalli, working with the Instituto is the best possible way of cherishing the memory of your brother.
