The IVO ( I ntegriertes VO rgangsbearbeitungssystem) is a custom software development of the police Saxony . In addition, the IVO acts as a central database and offender photo index.

Commissioning and practical test

The decision to develop IVO was made in 1995. Initially, however, they did not have the necessary infrastructure for nationwide introduction. By December 2012, the infrastructure had been created and the system was implemented nationwide.

The system has proven itself in practical tests. The costs from the idea to the introduction of the system amounted to over 25 million euros at the time.

Fields of application

IVO supports the processing of police cases such as criminal offenses , administrative offenses , traffic accidents , unnatural deaths , requests for investigations , averting danger and activity registrations .

IVO guides you through the entire process so that it is computer-aided throughout. IVO also provides interfaces to INPOL and the Schengen information system.

Legal basis

The legal basis for the use of IVO are the Saxon Police Enforcement Service Act (SächsPVDG) and the Saxon Data Protection Act (SächsDSG).
