The Intel 8287 is a bidirectional 8-bit drivers, the primary for the Intel 8086 / 8087 / 8088 / 8089 processors has been developed. The module is supplied in a 20-pin DIL housing . He was u. a. licensed to NEC and Siemens . If OE  ( O utput E nable ) is switched to GND , the block is selected. With T ( Transmit ) the data flow direction is determined (0: B → A; 1: A → B). In contrast to the 8286 , the incoming data is inverted .
