interjuli is a scientific journal on children's and young people's literature and on children's and young people's literature research. It should work internationally and interdisciplinary and collects articles by scientists from different research areas and subject areas. Each issue is devoted to a main topic to which most of the articles are assigned.

history

interjuli was founded in August 2008 by graduates from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz . The first issue of the magazine, which includes an article by Gudrun Marci-Boehncke , appeared in January 2009 under the title juli - magazine for children's and youth literature research . Shortly afterwards the title was changed to interjuli - International Children's and Youth Literature . Following the semi-annual publication mode, the second issue on ideology appeared in August 2009. Since then, issues on children's and youth literature in the GDR (January 2010), regionality in the KJL (August 2010), translation by KJL (January 2011), migration in of children's literature (July 2011), nature and environment (January 2012) and family (July 2012). The 2013 winter edition will deal with the subject of old age and death. Interjuli has been peer-reviewed since the winter edition of 2012, and since July 2012 it has also been based at the Institute for Popular Cultures at the University of Zurich.

The journal is not only intended to be a platform for renowned scientists, but also to offer newcomers to the field publication opportunities. The articles in the journal are also available online for a fee.
