Link (communication technology)

In communication technology, especially in networks, a link generally denotes a connection between two components. Examples for this are:

  • Connection to a network switch
  • Connection between two satellites

A link is an automated inter-computer connection, especially in military communication technology . In the NATO common name for communication standards, eg. B. Link 11 , Link 16 .
