International Association for Cryptologic Research

The International Association for Cryptologic Research ( IACR , English for about International Association for Cryptology - research ) is a scientific non-profit organization whose purpose is research of cryptology and related fields of science is. The IACR is the publisher of the renowned Journal of Cryptology and the organizer of the conferences

  • Asiacrypt
  • Crypto
  • Eurocrypt

Crypto and Eurocrypt are the oldest and most established conferences in cryptology; both were launched in the early 1980s.

In addition to these three events, the IACR is also responsible for four thematically more narrowly defined conferences (so-called "area conferences"):

  • Cryptographic Hardware and Embedded Systems (CHES)
  • Fast Software Encryption (FSE)
  • Practice and Theory in Public Key Cryptography (PKC)
  • Theory of Cryptography Conference (TCC)

Together, the seven events cover most of the topics of modern cryptological research.
