International Computers Limited ( ICL ) was the last independent British manufacturer of general purpose mainframe computers .

The ICL was created in 1968 from the merger of the two manufacturers English Electric and International Computers and Tabulators (ICT), which was taken over by Standard Telephones and Cables (STC) in 1984 . In 1991 ICL acquired Nokia Data, the computer division of Nokia .

In 2002 ICL was taken over by Fujitsu and continued to exist as 'Fujitsu Services'.
