The International Hellenic University ( IHU for short , Greek Διεθνές Πανεπιστήμιο της Ελλάδος ) is a university in Thessaloniki , Greece. It was first established in 2005 and is the first public university in Greece to offer courses entirely in English .
In 2019 the university was re-established and has locations in Thessaloniki (Thermi and Sindos), Kavala, Serres, Drama, Katerini, Edessa, Kilkis and Didymoteicho.
IHU initially specialized in postgraduate studies in order to address international students and to give Greek students an international perspective beyond their basic studies . After the start-up, undergraduate courses are also offered.
