The International Medieval Congress is an annual scientific conference for humanities scholars interested in studying the European Middle Ages (500–1500). It is organized and administered by the Institute for Medieval Studies at the University of Leeds and takes place in early July. The Congress is the UK's largest annual conference for a subject . Over 2000 registered participants regularly take part. The 25th congress took place in 2018 on the subject of "Memory" and was attended by over 2500 speakers.

The International Medieval Congress was first held in 1994 with 849 participants, partly to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the International Medieval Bibliography .
