International Powder & Bulk Solids Processing Conference & Exhibition
The International Powder & Bulk Solids Processing Conference & Exhibition (IPB) is a three-day international trade fair with a congress on powder and bulk solids technology in Asia. Your focus is on mechanical process engineering as a key technology . The event is considered "the most important industry event in China". The 14th edition of the IPB will take place from October 16 to 18 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.
Topics and target groups
The IPB is aimed at specialists who want to find out more about processes, devices and services in powder and bulk technology. The offer includes the following topics:

- Particle analysis and characterization
- Nanoparticle technologies
- Measure, Operate, Regulate
- Safety and environmental technology
- Services
Most of the visitors to the fair come from the chemical, pharmaceutical, food and animal feed and energy sectors.
A congress on mechanical process engineering will take place parallel to the trade fair. Forums and lectures provide information about news and trends in the industry. In 2017 the IPB runs at the same time as the AgroChemEx agrochemical exhibition.
Exhibitor and trade visitor numbers
In 2016 the IPB achieved a new visitor record: 7,988 professionals took part in the fair, an increase of almost 900 visitors compared to the previous year. Almost 200 exhibitors from 14 countries were present (2015: 146 exhibitors). The net exhibition area of the fair was 2,189 m².
Organizer and venue
Until 2008, the IPB was organized by the Chinese trade fair organizer WES. NürnbergMesse China, a subsidiary of NürnbergMesse , has been organizing the event since then . The Chinese Society of Particuology is a co-organizer.
The venue for the IPB has been the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center since 2017. Until 2014 the trade fair and congress took place in the INTEX Exhibition Center in Shanghai, but had to be relocated to the Shanghai Convention & Exhibition Center of International Sourcing due to the increase in visitor numbers and the required exhibition space.
Powtech World
The IPB is part of "Powtech World", a global network of trade fairs and conferences related to mechanical process engineering. Powtech World is an initiative of Powtech , which claims to be the world's leading trade fair for processing, analysis and treatment of powder and bulk goods. Powtech takes place annually in Nuremberg. In addition to IPB and Powtech, there are currently three other members: FCE Pharma, Powder & Bulk Solids India and Partec.
