The International Securities Exchange (ISE) is an American stock exchange operator that has been owned by Nasdaq since June 30, 2016 .
history
The ISE was formally founded on February 24, 2000 and began trading activities for the first time on May 26, 2000. The very first transaction at the time was the trading of 20 call options on the company SBC Communications .
As early as May 2001, the 25 millionth contract was traded.
On March 9, 2016, the German stock exchange announced that they have the equity options exchange International Securities Exchange (ISE) to the US stock market Nasdaq, Inc . will sell. The purchase price was $ 1.1 billion in cash. The transaction was completed on June 30, 2016.
