The International Strategic Studies Association (ISSA) is an important think tank that advises governments around the world on foreign and security policy issues.
The ISSA was founded in 1982 and is based in Alexandria , Virginia , USA . She regularly hosts conferences attended by leading scientists from around the world. The non-governmental organization (NGO) is considered to be rather conservative. Her work focuses on the Middle East , the Caucasus , Turkey , Libya , Pakistan , Cyprus and the Balkans .
The International Strategic Studies Association is also the publisher of the renowned journal Defense & Foreign Affairs .
