Volker Jacobs

Volker Jacobs (born November 6, 1940 in Düsseldorf ) is a German journalist .

Life

During his school days Jacobs worked as a journalist for a school newspaper. During his studies he worked for a student newspaper and during the holidays at the Rheinische Post .

After completing his studies, he worked at dpa in Hamburg and from 1969 headed the agency's Bonn office. In the following years Jacobs worked as a domestic political observer and correspondent for several media, including the Saarbrücker Zeitung , die Welt , a Luxembourg weekly newspaper and several radio stations. From 1994 to 2001, Volker Jacobs was head of the parliamentary editorial team at n-tv , then chief correspondent of the station until he retired in November 2006.

Jacobs is married and has two grown children.
