International organ days take place every summer in Trier . They were brought into being over two decades ago by the then Trier cathedral organist Wolfgang Oehms and are now under the artistic direction of cathedral organist Josef Still . The International Organ Days mobilize a large number of listeners from all over Germany and neighboring countries. The concerts take place every Tuesday in May and June from 8:00 p.m.

Renowned interpreters such as Naji Hakim , Olivier Latry or Jane Parker-Smith appreciate the large Schwalbennest organ from the organ manufacturer Klais in Bonn with its 67 registers and the large number of often 500 or more organ-enthusiastic visitors.
