Jane Parker-Smith

Jane Parker-Smith (born May 20, 1950 in Northampton , † June 24, 2020 in London ) was a British organist .

Jane Parker-Smith studied at the Royal College of Music with Nicolas Kynaston and in Paris with Jean Langlais . She made her debut at Westminster Cathedral at the age of 20 and performed two years later at the BBC's Promenade Concerts at the Royal Albert Hall . She subsequently performed in Europe, North and South America and the Far East. Her interpretations were broadcast on the BBC and on German and Swiss television channels. She died in 2020 at the age of 70.
