The International School Neustadt (ISN) is a school founded in 2005 with English as the language of instruction, in which children from the age of four are taught. The ISN offers internationally recognized training. The International School Neustadt is the only international school in Rhineland-Palatinate that
- received approval from the University of Cambridge to conduct the internationally recognized examination "International General Certificate of Secondary Education " (IGCSE: corresponds to an examination and qualification after 10th grade) (December 2007),
- obtained the Cambridge's Advanced Level ( GCE Advanced Level ) qualification (October 2009) and
- was approved by the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer the Primary Years program at the school (April 2009).
All students from the age of 5 up to the end of the elementary level have five hours of German lessons per week.
As part of the subsequent IB program MYP for students aged 11 to 16, students in grades 6 to 8 have two to three hours of lessons in each of the four languages English, French , Spanish and German. In grades 9 to 12, students should study at least two languages by the time they take their IB diploma exam. All teachers who teach languages at ISN are native speakers with specialist training in foreign language teaching.
