Internet Privacy Act

The Internet Privacy Act is a really non-existent law that is preferred by web site operators (groups or individuals) who deal with warez and similar matters, as a disclaimer on the home page. It is assigned to modern sagas and has no legal effect.

The Internet Privacy Act is alleged to have been passed in 1995 by then US President Bill Clinton ; however, it has been proven that Clinton never made such a decision.

By using this disclaimer, groups and individuals who violate the law (mostly Internet) knowingly who offer such services believe that they are protecting themselves against anti-piracy organizations such as the US RIAA . It is made clear that all information content (e.g. files) on the relevant page is intended for private use only and may not be viewed or downloaded; If the visitor to the site does so anyway, they are violating applicable law and cannot therefore take action against the site operator.
