Interrupt line

An interrupt line is a line on the system bus that sends the so-called interrupt requests to the processor and thus informs the processor that data is available for further processing. The interrupt line could also be referred to as the control bus of the data bus external to the processor ; in contrast to classic control signals such as R / W, it leads to the processor instead of starting from it.
