Reviews

“America needs an incorruptible intellectual like Chomsky, who holds up a mirror in which it can see itself without make-up - if it wants to. And the rest of the world needs Chomsky to reassure itself again and again that America has something to offer other than what we love least about it. « Hans-Martin Lohmann , Die Zeit

““ 'Interventions' are about Bush's administration, which is known to be drawing to a close. But the analyzes of September 11th, the Iraq campaign, Afghanistan, and the global economic order do not seem outdated because Chomsky exposes the deeper-lying continuities of US foreign policy everywhere. (...) The ›interventions‹ provide educational pinpricks against high-handed pachyderms in the White House. Chomsky's texts remain necessary intellectual drones that monitor the power swamp in Washington in a publicly effective manner. ""

- Pascal Fischer, SWR Forum Buch

"" With all the clout of his important thoughts, Chomsky criticizes the prevailing thoughtlessness and unmasked the hypocrisy of a world power that practices ruthless action in the name of democracy worldwide. ""
