The Schleswig-Holstein Investment Bank (IB.SH) is the central funding institute of the State of Schleswig-Holstein . It was established on January 1, 2003 by splitting off a sub-division of the then Landesbank Schleswig-Holstein Girozentrale (LB Kiel) (today Hamburg Commercial Bank AG ) as an independent institution under public law . Previously, their tasks were performed by a sub-division of LB Kiel.

The Schleswig-Holstein Investment Bank (IB.SH) supports the State of Schleswig-Holstein as a central funding institute in the implementation of economic and structural policy tasks.

IB.SH advises on all funding issues and grants funding for the economy, housing construction, municipalities, labor market and training measures, environmental and energy projects, urban development and the agricultural sector. Public and private investment projects in Schleswig-Holstein are supported.

The IB.SH manages the special-purpose property housing subsidy / hospital financing of the state of Schleswig-Holstein and oversees the social housing subsidy of the state (the working group for contemporary construction is also involved as an auditor ).

With around 579 employees, more than 60 programs and products are supported.
