Ioannis Touratsoglou

Ioannis Touratsoglou ( Greek Ιωάννης Τουράτσογλου , also Giannēs Touratsoglou, * 1940 in Thessaloniki ) is a Greek numismatist .

Ioannis Touratsoglou studied Classical Archeology at the University of Thessaloniki . From 1982 to 1993 he was curator at the Numismatic Museum in Athens and its director from 1994 until his retirement in 2002, and from 1999 to 2002 director of the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. In 2012 he received the Archer M. Huntington Medal .
