Iorwerth Drwyndwn ( Welsh flat nose; actually Iorwerth from Owain; † around 1174 ) was a prince of the Welsh Kingdom of Gwynedd . He was the father of Llywelyn from Iorwerth .

Iorwerth was the eldest son of Owain Gwynedd and his first wife Gwladus, a daughter of Llywarch ap Trahern von Arwystli . Presumably he was excluded from the line of succession because of a physical impairment. After the death of his father he inherited the rule over Arfon and Nanconwy. To secure his rule, he built the small castle Tomen Castell in the valley of the Afon Lledr , a tributary of the Conwy . Soon, however, fierce battles began between the brothers and half-brothers for supremacy in Gwynedd. The exact circumstances of Iorwerth's death are not known, presumably he died when his half-brother Dafydd came to power in North Gwynedd around 1173. Presumably he was buried in the church of Pennant Melangell in Powys.

He was married to Marared, a daughter of Madog ap Maredudd of Powys . His son Llywelyn ab Iorwerth was born around 1173. His wife was probably able to flee to her family in Powys with her son.
