Irena Eichlerówna (born April 19, 1908 in Warsaw ; † December 12, 1990 there ) was a Polish film and theater actress .

Life

Irena Eichlerówna was born on April 19, 1908 in Warsaw. She studied acting at the Institute for Theater Studies at the Warsaw University of Music . Eichlerówna graduated there in 1929. She made her theatrical debut in the role of Zosia in the play Funeral Service at the Great Theater of Vilna . From 1931 to 1939 she played in Cracow and Lviv . In 1933 Eichlerówna made her film debut in Wyrok życia . From 1934 she also had engagements at the Polish Theater and National Theater in Warsaw.

During the Second World War , Eichlerówna first played for refugees and soldiers in Romania and France. After France was defeated by the German Wehrmacht, she emigrated to Brazil , where she continued to work as an actress.

In 1948 she returned to Poland. She was hired again by the National Theater, but did not play regularly. After she left the National Theater in 1956, she continued to give guest appearances and appeared in several television films in later years. Irena Eichlerówna died on December 12, 1990 in Warsaw, where she was buried.
