Irene Laskarina
Irene Laskarina (Greek: Ειρήνη Λασκαρίνα), also called Eirene Laskarin (* around 1200 ; † 1241 ) was the eldest daughter of the Byzantine basileus Theodor I. Laskaris . She bore the title of Empress of Nicaea .
Life
Around 1216 she married the despot Andronikos Palaiologos and after his early death the successor of her father on the throne of Nicaea, John III. Dukas Vatatzes .
She died ten years before her second husband died.
