Irene Wondratsch

Irene Wondratsch (* 1948 in St. Pölten ) is an Austrian author.

Life

Irene Wondratsch has lived in the Austrian capital Vienna since she was a child. She studied German and history and has been employed in the education department of the Vienna AK since then . She also runs several writing workshops. She has been active in literature since 1990, her first novel was published in 2002 ("I would prefer Paris in Fever"), the follow-up novel in 2006 ("A house, a trace, a novel"). In addition, she published numerous short stories and short stories in anthologies, literary magazines and also on ORF radio. In 1997 she was in the final selection in the literary competition for short stories and was thus nominated for the Anton Kuh Prize.
