The 2007/08 season was the first season of the Irish Ice Hockey League , the highest Irish ice hockey league . The Dundalk Bulls became champions for the first time in the club's history .

In the main round each of the five teams was supposed to play a total of 16 games, but the last games were not played after the placements in the main round could no longer be changed. The four best-placed teams qualified for the playoffs in which the champions were played out. Each team received three points for a win after regular time, two points for a win after shootout, one point for a defeat after shootout and zero points for a defeat after regular time.
