In August 1999 ICE had to file for bankruptcy. Fans from all over the world raised money to buy the rights to Rolemaster at auction and to revive the brand. However, the efforts were not enough to keep the license for Middle-earth products received from Tolkien Enterprises ; therefore MERS and MECCG remained discontinued. Iron Crown Enterprises has been selling products again since February 2002. The company aims to bring at least nine new products from the Rolemaster , Shadowworld and Spacemaster ranges to market each year .
