Irving Asher
Irving Asher (born September 16, 1903 in San Francisco , California , † March 17, 1985 in Indio , California) was an American film producer .
Life
Asher was involved as a producer on more than 130 productions from 1929 until the 1950s.
From 1931 to 1938 he worked as a managing director for Warner Brothers, after which he was sent to England, where he became the head of the Warner Brothers office in London. The film he produced in 1941, Blossoms in the Dust, was nominated for an Oscar in the Best Picture category in 1942 .
Asher was married to actress Laura La Plante from 1934 until his death . They had two children together.
