Isaac ben Eleazar
R. Isaak ben Eleazar (also: Isaak ben Eleazar , usually Isaak ben Chaqola or Isaak b. Chakula ) was an ancient Jewish scholar, counted among the second generation of Palestinian Cupids , and lived and worked in the third century AD.
He lived in Caesarea and was held in such high esteem by his contemporaries, including Yehoshua ben Levi , that the verse (2.20 EU ) is said to have been applied to him:
"But the Eternal in his holy temple - the whole earth be quiet before him."

He is also said to have given the funeral speech to the greatest scholar of his time, Rabbi Jochanan .
