Isidora Goreshter
Isidora "Izzy" Goreshter (* in the United States ) is an American actress . She became famous as Svetlana Yevgenivna in the American series Shameless .
Life
Goreshter's parents immigrated to the United States from the Soviet Union in the 1980s, shortly before the end of communism . Goreshter herself was born in the United States as the first member of her family. She grew up with an older brother in Long Beach , California . She became interested in acting at an early age and appeared in commercials as a child.
She graduated from California State University, Long Beach , where she graduated in history and acting. She also took acting classes at the Stella Adler Conservatory .
After first roles in short films and minor supporting roles in various television series, she took on the role of Svetlana Milkovich in Shameless in 2013 , and has embodied her since the third season. In mid-2016 she was promoted to leading actress.
In 2015 Goreshter became the mother of one child.
