Isizenze in the Brooklyn Museum
The Isizenze (also izembe ) is an ax of the Zulu of South Africa .
description
The Isizenze has an elongated, single-edged blade. The blade is shorter towards the end of the shaft and longer and narrower towards the blade head. The blade is designed so that its front end protrudes over the shaft and is suitable for stabbing. It is attached to the club-shaped shaft with a relatively thin tang.
