The Isla de los Micos (German: "Monkey Island") or Isla Arara is a river island in the Colombian part of the Amazon in the area of the municipality of Leticia in the Department of Amazonas . It is a popular tourist destination because of the free roaming monkeys.

The island is located around 20 kilometers upstream from the town of Leticia, approximately at the level of the small town of “Santa Sofia”. The island has a size of around 450 hectares. The American Mike Tsalikys set up a station there in the 1960s to raise monkeys and other creatures. The animals were mainly sold for experimental purposes, but animal experiments were also carried out on site.

Mike Tsalikys' company had to cease operations in the 1990s. Since then, the island has become a tourist attraction. Leticia offers boat trips with a journey time of around one hour. Today several thousand monkeys live on the island, most of them squirrel monkeys . At the northern end of the island there is a visitor station with the possibility of mooring. The carers there have accustomed the animals to visitor groups. The monkeys are attracted by whistling noises and bananas. The animals then jump from head to head between the visitors, climb up on them or, for example, crouch on the shoulders of the tourists in a photo-appropriate manner.
