Islamic Fiqh Academy of the Islamic World League
The Islamic Fiqh Academy ( Arabic المجمع الفقهي الإسلامي, DMG al-Maǧmaʿ al-Fiqhī al-Islāmī ) of the Islamic World League , English under the name Islamic Fiqh Council of the Muslim World League ("Islamic Fiqh Council of the Muslim World League" ') in Mecca , Saudi Arabia , is a 1977 established Fiqh institution of the Islamic World League founded in 1962 . This body consists of a selected group of Islamic scholars from Muslim countries.
The President of the Fiqh Academy is Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Al-Sheikh , Grand Mufti of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia , Chairman of the Council of Supreme Religious Scholars and President of the Religious Police of his country (based in Riyadh ). The general secretary of the Islamic Fiqh Academy is Salih ibn Zabin al-Marzuqi .
The publications of the Islamic Fiqh Academy include the magazine of the Islamic Fiqh Academy ( Maǧallat al-Maǧmaʿ al-Fiqhī al-Islāmī / Journal of the Islamic Fiqh Academy ).
Personnel
Abdullah bin Abdul Mohsin Al Turki, former General Secretary of the Islamic World League, has been associated with the Fiqh Academy for many years. There are also personal connections to similar Islamic institutions, e.g. B. Hamza Abu Faris , Minister for Religious Affairs of Libya , who also conducts research for the European Council for Fatwa and Research based in Dublin .
