Ishmael M. Dahiyat
Ismael M. Dahiyat , also Ismail (* before 1974) is a Jordanian Arabist and journalist .
In 1974 Dahiyat presented a seminal edition of Avicenna's Commentary on the Poetics of Aristotle as a doctoral dissertation at the State University of New York . Since then he has been working for Voice of America , initially as Head of the South Asia and Near East Division, and most recently as Director.
