José Israel Martínez Salas (born March 14, 1981 in Mexico City ), also known by the nickname Jagger , is a former Mexican football player who played in defense or in the defensive midfield .

career

Martínez received his first professional contract with Club América , for which he came to ten missions (one goal) in the highest Mexican football league in 2002 and 2003 . He was at the beginning of 2004, Tigres UANL - farm team Tigrillos Coapa borrowed, for which he in the second division completed 14 league games and scored one goal. He spent the next five years on loan at Club San Luis (114 games, ten goals) before being brought back to Club America in the summer of 2009, for which he played a total of 47 league appearances in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons (no goal ) completed.

In the next four years Martínez was for one season each for Querétaro FC (2011/12: 24 games, 4 goals), CF Atlante (2012/13: 23 games, no goal), Tiburones Rojos Veracruz (2013/14 : 12 games, no goal) and most recently Celaya FC (2014/15: four appearances, no goal) in action.

In 2008 and 2009 Martínez played eight international appearances (no goal) for the Mexican national soccer team .
