The Israeli Embassy in Washington, DC is the headquarters of the diplomatic mission of Israel in the United States . It is located in Washington's Cleveland Park neighborhood in the city's northwest quadrant .
The current Israeli ambassador to the United States is Ron Dermer .
In addition to the ambassador, the embassy has 13 departments designed to strengthen relations between the United States and Israel. These include the departments for defense and armed forces, for politics, for congress affairs, for public diplomacy, for economy, for trade, for administration, for police and security, for education, for culture, for agriculture and science as well as the press office.
The embassy hosts numerous events for politicians and the general public throughout the year, including the celebration of Israel's Independence Day, Yom HaAtzma'ut .
