Istana Lama Seri Menanti
The Istana Lama Seri Menanti ( old palace Seri Menanti ) is one of the most important sights in the Malaysian state of Negeri Sembilan . The wooden palace was built between 1902 and 1908 as a residence for the head of state ( Yamtuan Besar ) by Negeri Sembilan. It is not nails but hardwood rods that hold the logs together from which the palace was built. Today the Istana Lama Seri Menanti functions as a museum.
