István Klimek also Ștefan Klimek (born April 13, 1913 in Austria-Hungary , † November 12, 1988 in Romania ) was a football player in the Romanian national team ( Divizia A ) in 1934 .

Career

From 1928 to 1941 István Klimek was a football player in four teams in the city of Timișoara . The first football club, where he played as a teenager until September 30, 1928, was CA Timișoara . From July 1, 1931 to June 30, 1936 Klimek played at ILSA Timişoara , from July 1, 1936 to June 30, 1939 with the national team Chinezul Timişoara and from July 1, 1940 to June 30, 1941 at Rapid Timişoara .

From July 1, 1931, he played as a striker for the football club ILSA Timișoara , which was prepared by the football coaches Josef Uridil and Constantin Rădulescu for the 1934 World Cup . The world championship began on May 27, 1934 in Rome . Since the Romanian team lost in the first game with the Czech team 1: 2, they were eliminated from the games. In August 1936, ILSA Timișoara merged with Chinezul Timișoara .
