István M. Fehér

István M. Fehér (born April 24, 1950 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian philosopher .

Life

He began his university studies in 1969 at the Eötvös Loránd University of the Faculty of Humanities, where he graduated in 1974 as a high school teacher. Between 1990 and 1995 he was General Secretary of the Hungarian Philosophical Society. Since 2002 he has been professor of the history of ideas at the Andrássy University in Budapest .

His research interests include German idealism, 20th century phenomenology, philosophical hermeneutics, neo-Marxism and the philosophy of Martin Heidegger.
