Ita Daly

Ita Daly (* 1945 in Drumshanbo , County Leitrim , Ireland ) is an Irish writer .

Life

She was born the daughter of a civil servant. After attending St. Louis High School in Dublin , she studied English and Spanish at University College Dublin . She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, Master of Art, and Higher Diploma in Education. Daly was a teacher at a secondary school in Dublin.

She has published many short stories and has also worked as a novelist.

Awards

In 1972 and 1976 she received the Hennessy Literary Award . In 1975 she won the Irish Times' short story competition .
