An Italian helmet with a fillet type Filottrano is a protective weapon from Italy.

description

An Italian helmet with a fillet type Filottrano is usually made of bronze and iron . The helmet bell is made conical. The lower part of the helmet is widened and a neck and one eye protection expelled . The neck protection runs down first, then slightly backwards. A wide, recessed groove is incorporated just above the eye protection, which widens from the front helmet to the neck protection. Disc-shaped ear shields are attached to both sides of the helmet and are connected to the helmet bowl by a rotatable pin. This means that they can be opened or closed as required. The disks of the ear shields are decorated with circular patterns and have a round elevation in the middle. Helmets of this type were found in the burial ground of Filottrano / Italy at the beginning of the 20th century.
