Italianism

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Italizismus is a linguistic phenomenon in which instead of a term in the original language of the speaker or writer an equally important concept of Italian language is needed.

According to Jacob Sense, the use of Italicisms in late Latin literature of the 16th and 17th centuries shows the writer's deep connection with his homeland.
