Ivan Smagghe

Smagghe Ivan (* 1971 ) is a French DJ , remixer and producer in the field of techno .

At the beginning of his career he produced his first tracks with Arnaud Rebotini under the pseudonym Black Strobe . From 1996 to 1999 he was heard weekly on the Paris radio station Nova in his program Bad Karma . His DJ mixes could also be heard on radio stations like Couleur 3, on the island at Galaxy FM or at Grenouille in Marseille. He organized a DJ pool for Radio Nova, including Laurent Garnier .

In 2001 he founded his own label, The Set Foundation , with which he would like to offer a platform to mostly unknown artists. In 2004, his widely acclaimed mix CD Ivan Smagghe Presents Death Disco was released .

At the end of 2009, Live at Robert Johnson Vol. 3, a mix CD, was released on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Offenbach techno club Robert Johnson .
