Ivar Leimus

Ivar Leimus (born June 3, 1953 in Võru , Estonian SSR ) is an Estonian numismatist and historian.

Life

Leimus studied at the University of Tartu until 1976 and has since worked at the Estonian History Museum (Eesti Ajaloomuuseum) in Tallinn . Since 2006 he has been its deputy director. In 1989 he received his PhD. Leimus published, also in German, especially on topics of the coinage and monetary history of the Baltic States from the Middle Ages to modern times.
