Order of the White Star
The Order of the White Star ( Estonian : Valgetähe teenetemärk ) is a public award of Estonia , which is awarded to civilians.
Foundation, endowment
The order was introduced on October 7, 1936 by the Estonian head of state and government Konstantin Päts to honor the Estonian people's struggle for freedom. The Order of the White Star is awarded by the Estonian President to Estonian and foreign citizens for civil or state services to the Estonian state.
