Ivonne Thein
Ivonne Thein (* 1979 in Meiningen ) is a contemporary German artist. She works with the media of photography, video and mixed media installations.
Life
Ivonne Thein studied photography and fine arts at the RMIT Melbourne / Australia from 2003 to 2009 at the Dortmund University of Applied Sciences. She lives and works in Berlin.
Her works address the body in a socio-cultural context and with regard to its role in image-generating media such as photography, television and film. She researches topics such as gender, beauty models and the influences of the artificially generated body on the body image in the 21st century.
