Iwona Ewa Arent (born June 4, 1968 in Olsztyn ) is a Polish politician and has been a member of the Sejm in the V and VI , VII since 2006 . and VIII . Electoral term.

She finished her studies in hotel management at the Pedagogical University in Olsztyn and a postgraduate course in accounting at the University of Warmia-Masuria .

In the 80s she was active in the Catholic youth movement. She is active in charitable and social organizations and is a member of the association for child and youth welfare "Kormoran" in Olsztyn. She cooperates with the "Nasza Rodzina" (Our Family) association and worked in the office of the Olsztyn branch of the energy company ENERGA SA .

Since 2002 she has belonged to the Prawo i Sprawiedliwość party (Law and Justice - PiS) and is the treasurer of the Olsztyn Regional Association.

In the 2005 parliamentary elections , she tried in vain to be elected to the Sejm for the constituency of Olsztyn via the PiS list. She finally became a member of parliament in 2006 to replace Aleksander Szczygło , who was appointed head of the presidential office. In the 2007 Sejm elections she was elected for the second time with 7,187 votes. She is a member of the Sejm commissions for parliamentary affairs and justice.
