Ján Šimbracký

Ján Šimbracký (* around 1600; † 1657 in Spišské Podhradie ) was a Slovak organist and composer.

Šimbracký worked from 1630 until his death as an organist in Spišské Podhradie, where he was also a city councilor from 1637. From his extensive work, five motets for choir and orchestra in the Venetian style have been preserved. His composition Gott stands in der Gemeine Gottes was used in Prešov in 1651 as incidental music for a performance of Peter Eisenberg's Ein zwiefacher poetic act .
